Are there lights inside the storage units?
No, however a light is available free of charge during office hours on a first come first serve basis. You will be required to leave your license in exchange for the light. License will be returned when light is returned. Light must be returned before the office closes. -
Do you provide carts to help move from vehicle to unit?
Yes, we provide four-wheel carts free of charge. The carts may not be removed from the premises. -
Do you have rules and are they enforced?
Yes, we have rules for everyone’s safety. We enforce the rules through our extensive camera viewing and recording system. Please make sure you understand all rules. A violation of the rules can lead to a fine and/or eviction. -
What am I required to do if I want to vacate?
You must provide a written seven-day notice to the office. It can be in person, mail or by e mail. You must clean your unit (broom clean). You must remove your lock. You must notify the office that your unit is clean and the lock is removed. If you do not notify the office that you have taken all the above steps, then your rent will continue to run as we cannot put the unit back into our rental system. Notification can be made in person, via phone or e-mail. -
Why do you have “Keep Clear” lined and painted under your automatic roll up doors?
The doors can operate in the “automatic mode.” If items are left unattended, the door may close and the items under the door may damage the door. This can be very expensive and you are responsible for damages if the cameras show that you did not keep the designated area clear. -
Are your facilities alarmed?
Yes, once access hours are over, silent alarm activates and will be triggered by any motion or door opening. If you trigger the alarm after closing, you will be fined $250.00 and or evicted. -
Are restrooms available?
Yes, we have restrooms for customer use during access hours. If you are found abusing the privilege (stealing supplies/leaving a mess) you will be evicted. -
Do you have a policy regarding abusive language/aggressive behavior/
Abusive language/aggressive behavior directed toward staff or other tenants is not tolerated. You will be asked to leave and if you refuse, we will call the police to have you removed. Abusive language/aggressive behavior are grounds for eviction. -
Can aisle ways be blocked while going through a unit?
Aisle way cannot be blocked, room must be left for other tenants to safely pass. In addition, any personal items left outside of units overnight will be disposed of. -
Am I locked into a period of time for renting a unit?
You do not have to worry about being locked into a long-term contract for your storage unit when you rent from El Camino Self Storage. We rent our units on a month-to-month basis, providing maximum flexibility. The minimum rental length is one month.
